Let's have a banquet
We've all struggled during the last year because of the coronavirus pandemic. We've faced 'enemies' – illness and grief, but also anxiety, isolation and frustration, and perhaps financial hardship.
In the spirit of that verse, Bible Society – working with Christians Against Poverty and Welcome Churches – is encouraging churches and individuals to host banquets in the presence of these enemies.
You might be able to lay on a feast in your church building. You might want to invite a few people round to your house.
You can make it special in your own way (and of course, please comply with any Covid regulations). Your guests will know that they're loved and welcome, and that God has a place for them at his table.

We'd love to know how many banquets are taking place. So we're asking you to enter your email address before you download the resources so we can keep in touch. Don't worry, we won't bombard you with emails! But it's our dream that this could become a movement sweeping England and Wales, as God's people open their churches, homes and hearts to those in need. So we'll ask you to tell us when you host a banquet, and we'll pray for you – and we'll invite you to share stories about what happened.
